Fuchs Prestige Prize, The Journey of a Line

Each student drew a sealed envelope pairing an Iconic Object with a Poetic Fragment from Dr Frank Meintjies’ A Place to Night In, which became the fixed DNA for every exercise that followed. Mapping, ink studies, and a string-and stick model tested how the object and the poem could translate into line, ending in a single hand-drafted A0 Section that carried the proposal from sea, through shore, into architecture.
